Benoit RivallantApollo Tyres has promoted Benoit Rivallant to be president of its European operations.

Rivallant has been with the tyre manufacturer since 2014, during which time, successfully introduced commercial vehicle tyres into Europe as group head, global product management for commercial vehicle tyres, the Indian company says.

“It is our corporate philosophy to identify and promote talent internally,” said vice-chairman and managing director Neeraj Kanwar. “Benoit, with his varied experience, is the right person to further lead Apollo’s growth strategy in Europe.”

[mpu_ad]Rivallant has worked in the tyre industry globally for more than 30 years and succeeds Mathias Heimann, who is moving into an advisory role after successfully leading European operations for four years, Apollo said.

Last month, the company started commercial production of its Apollo brand of truck tyres from a new plant in Gyongyoshalasz, central Hungary.
