GOING VIRTUAL

Automotive Logistics and Supply Chain Live
Global Digital Conference
15-17 September 2020

Dear Customer,

This global virus has caught all of us off guard and continues to cause more pain and challenges than any of us could imagine. But there are so many positive stories about how the global automotive sector has adapted to restart safely and has innovated across the supply chain.

All of us here at Ultima Media (our home of Automotive Logistics/FVL, Automotive Manufacturing Solutions and Car Design News) have had to change quickly too and really think about our purpose in this time of crisis, especially how we could best provide insight, intelligence and connections to the global automotive sector, to help you manage your business, to thrive and perhaps to survive.

That is why we launched our Spring and Summer Automotive Festival of Transformation, including a new series of weekly Livestream Hour broadcasts and webinars packed with data and insight on managing the crisis. It has also included our newly launched digital editions, along with video interviews, podcasts and business intelligence reports.

We’ve had over 3,500 registrations to our programme so far and we are delighted that many of you are finding it valuable. We’ve got an exciting line-up every week covering the supply chain topics that matter, including technology, capacity planning, sustainable logistics and much more, with an exciting global multi-part season finale at the end of July.

With the challenges we are all facing come difficult choices and decisions and I know many of you enjoy our series of global conferences. But I want to let you know that we are cancelling our Automotive Logistics conferences for the remainder of the year (Baltimore, Detroit, Europe and UK) with the exception, for now, of FVL North America in California December 8-10th.

It’s the right thing to do, given the uncertainty over travel, social distancing and the health and safety of our attendees, commercial partners and teams. We are still here though, and we will continue to serve our purpose, which is to help you manage, navigate and prepare your businesses in these challenging times through news, data, insight and intelligence.

That is why we are not only going to expand our current weekly livestreams, videos and digital editions through our Spring and Summer Festival of Transformation, but we are ‘GOING VIRTUAL CONFERENCE’ too. In our recent global survey, when we asked whether there would be interest in attending or participating in a Supply Chain and Logistics virtual conference, a staggering 96% said, YES!

So I’m delighted to let you know that we are going to launch the first Automotive Logistics and Supply Chain Live, a virtual/live event that will build on our weekly Livestream programme and take place September 15-17th. It will feature interactive sessions, case studies, on-demand videos, as well as the opportunity to network in one-to-one meetings, explore virtual exhibitor booths and connect with your global peers at OEMs, tier suppliers and service providers. We’d love to see you there.

In the coming weeks we will be sharing more with you directly about our virtual conference plans and we’d love you to be part of those discussions too. Whether to say you’ll be there, that you’d like to contribute, perhaps to share an idea or just to give us the thumbs up. After all, this will be your virtual conference.

Best wishes and stay safe.
