Bethany joined NOVUS, part of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport family, in early 2017. Founded in 2012, NOVUS is a strategic solution to the skills shortage in the logistics sector, working with over 20 companies and eight Universities to provide applied, industry-relevant education and create work-ready graduates. As Operations Manager, Bethany is responsible for maintaining links between students, sponsors and universities, ensuring the programme of mentoring, placements and industry insights is effective for all parties, as well as working in schools to inspire young people to consider logistics as a career of choice.

Bethany has combined her passion for education, as a former teacher, with her love of the logistics profession, in NOVUS, believing that logistics should be a preferred profession. Bethany has been a passionate advocate of young professionals in logistics, most recently working on the Think Logistics initiative, as well as increasing diversity in the profession through her former place on the Women in Logistics steering committee. Her work with Women in Logistics won Bethany the 2015 Multimodal “Woman of the Year” award, followed more recently with recognition as a finalist in the Everywoman and FTA awards, winner of Talent in Logistics Industry Champion award and a place in the Logistics 100 as an Outside Influencer.
