Marko Weisshaar, based in Boeblingen, Germany, is a senior logistics executive with extensive experience leading and developing supply chains in both the automotive and non-automotive sectors across EMEA. Marko joined OEM start-up INEOS Automotive in 2019, responsible for building the supply chain team and establishing the supply chain management (SCM) of the forthcoming Grenadier 4x4 vehicle from the ground up. Marko’s experience includes almost 10 years working for Siemens AG, holding various logistics leaderships roles and 7 years with automotive tier 1 supplier Grammer AG. He graduated with a diploma in economics from the University of Bamberg and believes that “fun and adaptability is mandatory for successful work”.

Jian has a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Diploma Degree in Business Administration. With his more than 15 years of experience in Supply Chain Management and Procurement, Jian has been working for different multinational automotive and manufacturing companies in different functions and countries (HELLA Group, Liebherr Group, Robert Bosch GmbH). At the meantime Jian is a certified Senior Project Manager according to International Project Management Association and used his professional project management expertise as a senior project manager in his management consulting career in cooperation with Top 500 Forbes Global companies. Jian has deep knowledge in global end-to-end supply chain and procurement management. Currently he is leading the HELLA corporate supply chain risk management team with the target to set up an end-to-end supply chain risk management process by implementation of new technologies across different business functions (Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Sales) worldwide.

Prior to joining Volvo GTO Jana held various leadership positions in production, logistics, R&D, management consulting, working at some of the world’s leading industrial companies including Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Cars and Sandvik. She holds degrees in Engineering, Political Science, Business Leadership and Board Management. Volvo Group has committed to Paris Climate Agreement and set firm targets towards becoming world leading company in providing sustainable transport solutions. Decarbonization of Volvo Group operations including transport operations is essential part of this ambition. Innovation, technology shift, digitalization and circular operations are building blocks in what Jana is driving.

Matthias Braun is responsible for the development of new concepts and identifying opportunities for digitalisation in material and container processes at Volkswagen Konzernlogistik (Group Logistics), the central supply chain management organisation that works across group brands. He joined Volkswagen in 2004 and has worked across group logistics in areas including pre-series logistics, order management, inbound logistics and network planning before starting his current role in 2018. Matthias’s team runs multiple projects analysing the implications and benefits of using new technologies in supply chain management, including artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles.

He worked and lived in Germany, Slovak Republic and Mexico over the last 40 years and has held a variety of roles across the carmaker in areas IT and Operations. Lars also is a long-time member of Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL), the German Logistics Association, where he has helped oversee scientific logistics projects. Since he now lives again in Mexico he was appointed in 2020 as BVL Representative for Mexico.

His role soon broadened to include Inbound Logistics, and in October 2014 he was assigned to Shanghai, China, to focus on developing the inbound logistics setup for the manufacturer in the APAC region as Volvo opened several new plants. In summer 2017, he returned to Europe to take on a role in the newly formed global logistics team. Since the spring of 2020 he is responsible for Global Inbound Logistics Engineering & Car Program Management. Before joining Volvo Cars Magnus spent 13 years with the Maersk Group.

Danny Auerswald is a graduate industrial engineer (TU Dresden) and started his career in 2013 - after five years at Volkswagen Consulting - in various functions in production and logistics at Volkswagen. For three and a half years he was an executive assistant to Volkswagen Group and brand board members. In August 2016, Auerswald took over as plant manager at the Pekan site in Malaysia. In parallel, he was Director of Volkswagen Group Malaysia. After four years in Pekan, he took over responsibility for the Transparent Factory in Dresden on August 1, 2020. This is where the e-Golf is currently being manufactured and where the all-electric ID.3 will be produced from 2021 onwards.

Axel joined Ford Werke in 2000 and has held a variety of positions within the organisation; two years as a graduate trainee in job rotation followed by three years as a logistics engineer. He moved to Ford’s Saarlouis plant in 2005 working as its Supply Chain Manager/External Logistics Coordinator. Axel returned to Cologne in 2008 to his current position of Carline Supervisor MF&PE. He is currently involved in major launches at Ford’s Valencia (Spain) plant. Axel holds a BSc Logistics Management from Venlo, Netherlands in 1998 and a MSc International Logistics from Plymouth, UK in 1999.
