Ceva Logistics, has opened a new, multi-purpose warehouse next to the port of Gdynia in Poland.

The contract logistics and freight management provider said the facility would help to strengthen customers’ supply chains via Gdynia, and other Baltic ports, to global destinations. Ceva is aiming to support automotive, industrial and technology customers with services from the facility.

Services at the new location will include customs brokerage, container consolidation, storage, ocean, surface, and multimodal freight management of exports and imports, and container de-consolidation.

“Encouraged by the success of our operations at Ceva’s multi-customer facility in Bielsko-Biala, southern Poland, we have invested in this new facility to bring similar service levels to customers in the north,” said Piotr Zborowski, executive vice president, Central Europe. ”This is an important step to support our goal to be the most professional logistics company in Poland, providing the highest possible standards for our customers.”

The port of Gdynia has seen significant improvements over the past few years, including to its infrastructure. A new quay has been constructed and enhancements have been made to road and rail access to the hinterland of Poland, as well as to central and Eastern Europe. Carriers such as short sea ro-ro specialist UECC and deep-sea carrier K-Line serve the north of Europe through the port.
