Mario Cavallucci has been appointed to the position of managing director, Yusen Logistics Germany.

Mario first joined Yusen Logistics as deputy managing director in May 2014, and began his new position at the start of October. He will be based at the company’s German headquarters in Dusseldorf.

Speaking about his new role, Cavallucci said, “During my induction over the last couple of months, I have learned from our customers and colleagues what makes Yusen Logistics so special, and what they value the most about this company. Based on this experience my priority will be the continuous improvement of our services and the development of new products to better serve our customers. As an exporting nation, Germany depends on strong and reliable supply chains to deliver our products to global markets. Japan is similar in this respect and we therefore plan to leverage the experience gained from our leading position in our home market and help German customers to successfully grow their business.”

Cavallucci has 24 years of experience in the supply chain sector, and has held several key management positions for global logistics provider Agility – including as chief executive officer in Canada – over the past few years.

Yusen Logistics has eight strategic locations in Germany, 133,000sq. metres of warehousing space, and employs around 550 people.
