Today’s supply chain disruption have highlighted just how critical it is to have the right data on transport, inventory and suppliers. In an exclusive Ideas Lab at Automotive Logistics and Supply Chain Global Live in Detroit, stakeholders from OEMs, suppliers, technology firms and logistics providers debated where they could gain the most value from data analytics, as well as how manufacturers could better leverage existing systems and technology to gain better end-to-end visibility and to inform manufacturing and sourcing decisions.
In this video, Akhil Dabas, vice-president of supply chain at Tech Mahindra, talks about the key output from the workshop, including data opportunities in optimising automotive supply chains, and why logistics and supply chain leaders at automotive manufacturers need to be better educated on what tools are already available to them.
