Bluegrass supply chainThird party logistics provider, Bluegrass Supply Chain Services (BSCS) is combining its three existing locations into one centralised warehouse and corporate office in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

The move will bring an additional $5.185m to the region, provide an extra 160,000sq. feet of space, and create 55 new jobs. 

BSCS provides value added supply chain solutions to automotive and food customers, offering warehousing solutions, including just-in-time operations, line sequencing, just-in-sequence, kanban picking and sequencing, value added repack, export repacking, discrete order picking, kitting, returnable cleaning and e-commerce.

The company also offers quality support, light assembly and transport management services, including yard management and a dedicated fleet. BSCS covers a four-state region (Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama), and until now has operated three divisions, with around 60% of business serving customers outside the state of Kentucky. 

After being founded in 2002, the company made $2.43m in revenues in 2008, and in 2013, increased revenues to $32.7m. The last three years have seen revenue growth of more than 223%. The company said its latest announcement is just the beginning of developments planned for 2015.
