Like other OEMs in North America, Mercedes-Benz USA is feeling the shortages of equipment and drivers. But along with investment in new capacity, Rory Hepner stresses the importance of investing in people, including at plants, vehicle logistics centres and across logistics providers. She puts particular emphasis on safety, including new handling requirements and skills required as Mercedes-Benz ramps up production and handling of electric vehicles.
