Reinhard Just, board member for DB Schenker’s Land Transport division in Austria and South Eastern Europe (pictured), is retiring from the company in April this year after a 30-year tenure.
During his time with the company, Just made a significant contribution to process optimisation in the Land Transport segment. Between 2004 and 2014, revenue from land transport in the South East Europe region increased by almost 40%.
Helmut Schweighofer, board member for the Air Freight division, will take over Just’s responsibilities. In turn, CEO of Schenker & Co, Kurt Leidinger, will take over the Air Freight division from Schweighofer in addition to his existing duties.
“We wish Just all the best, and we are glad that he will continue to consult with our company in an advisory capacity so that we may call upon his many years of expertise,” said CEO Kurt Leidinger.
From April, DB Schenker in Austria and South East Europe will be led by four board members: Kurt Leidinger (CEO, air freight, sales); Helmut Schweighofer (land transport, including rail); Michael Meyer (finance and accounting, controlling, legal, and purchasing); and Alexander Winter (ocean freight, and logistics).
