Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has appointed Bora Argac as its new chief commercial officer (CCO) for Germany. He succeeds Kai Hasenpusch, who has moved to become sales director for Roadfreight West Europe at the logistics provider.

Argac joined the company in November last year and has been head of sales for Germany since the beginning of January this year. He moves to the new role at Hellmann with 25 years of logistics experience, most recently with Kuehne + Nagel where he held senior sales management roles covering land, sea and airfreight services.

Prior to that, Argac worked at logistics providers including Hermes and Expeditors. In his new role in Hellmann’s largest national organisation he will develop sales across all production areas.

“In Bora Argac, we have found an outstanding personality for the position, both personally and professionally. Germany will always be the engine that drives our global network and together with his German sales organisation, Bora will be a very important component,” said Martin Wehner, CCO for West Europe at Hellmann.

Argac’s appointment coincides with other new year moves at Hellmann, including the appointment of Albin Budinsky as general manager of operations in Romania, where Hellmann has had sea and airfreight operations since the 1990s.

The company has also recruited Matthias Köfler to the newly created role of product manager for Rail East Europe, where he will be responsible for development of rail and intermodal transport, especially between southern and eastern Europe.
