RPM
Binu Panicker has been appointed chief technology officer (CTO) at finished vehicle technology provider RPM. Panicker moves from his role as CTO at FreightVerify, provider of transport visibility software and services.
Panicker led AI developments at FreightVerify and helped
onboard major automotive OEMs. His experience over 26 years in technology and
executive leadership also includes roles at Covisint and Dassault Systémes.
RPM said his experience in driving technology transformation
and AI-powered innovation will also play a pivotal role in RPM's business. His
main focus will be to direct the use of next-generation AI and automation to
drive supply chain efficiencies through RPM’s platform. RPM’s digital platform
connects finished vehicle shippers with available multimodal transport
capacity.
Panicker will head RPM’s product and engineering teams to
integrate the technology across RPM. He will report to president of RPM North
America, John Perkovich.
"Binu's leadership and deep expertise in scalable cloud
architecture and AI are crucial as we expand our technological capabilities,”
said Perkovich. “His strategic vision will ensure we continue to provide our
partners with unparalleled logistics solutions that are both data-driven and
forward looking. We are excited to see him join the leadership team, enhancing
RPM's market position as a leader in automotive logistics."
Panicker said that the logistics industry is undergoing “a
massive digital transformation” and RPM
is perfectly positioned to lead that change. “I'm grateful to join such a
forward-thinking company and leverage my broader industry expertise in AI and
scalable cloud-platforms to build the future of mobility."
This latest moves at RPM follows the appointment in March this
year of Paul Magdelyens as the new managing director of RPM Europe, replacing
Frits Mehrtens, who he held the role on an interim basis.
