Time:matters expands emergency courier services in Mexico

Emergency logistics provider time:matters has expanded its global courier network with the addition of two terminals in Mexico, tailored to demand from the automotive, semiconductor and high-tech industries, amongst others.
The two new facilities are located at Mexico City
International Airport Benito Juárez (MEX) and Felipe Ángeles International
Airport (NLU). They have been set up in partnership with Lufthansa Cargo
Servicios Logísticos de México (LCSLM).
The company said the operations provide “premium handling
services for highly flexible transport solutions tailored to sensitive and
urgent shipments”. That includes for spare and service parts, high-value goods
and hazardous commodities. Services include dedicated handling, personalised
data flows to customs brokers and consignees, and 24/7 operational
availability. Handling time for consignments has been halved from six to
three hours, according to time:matters.
“The new terminals in Mexico add a strategically important
hub to our network in Latin America,” said Stefan Fölsing, managing director of
time:matters Courier Terminals. “With dedicated handling processes and
personalised control, we ensure faster and more reliable handling for key
industries.”
High demand for the parts supplied by Mexicoʼs tier one suppliers, where 87%
production goes for export, is combined with ongoing trade disruption and
border delays that require time critical logistics services.
The Mexican courier operations are linked to time:matters’
courier terminals in Frankfurt and Munich in Germany, and Shanghai in China. In
April this year the company also opened offices in Bangkok, Thailand and
Penang, Malaysia to boost regional connectivity and expand across south-east
Asia. It also added an office near Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France
with automotive and semiconductor two of the key industries served.
