GM chooses Ceva Logistics for direct-to-consumer vehicle logistics
GM is using Ceva Logistics to move finished vehicles from the US to Europe.

As part of the three-year contract, Ceva will prepare and directly deliver Cadillacs to customers in France and Germany.
The vehicles are being delivered to the Belgian port of Zeebrugge from where Ceva will transport them to its vehicle hubs in Nanteuil-le-Haudouin in France and Neuss in Germany. At those hubs Ceva will carry out vehicle inspections, accessory installations and registration before organising direct home delivery.
Delivering vehicles direct to end customers is a service Ceva took onboard when it took over French logistics provider Gefco in 2023. Those “phygital” services, combining digital and logistics solutions, include live tracking of the Cadillacs, home delivery by car carrier or driver and a post-delivery evaluation of customer satisfaction.
GM Europe (GME) has been using Ceva’s special transport services for press events and commercial promotions in France, Germany and Sweden since summer 2024. Those events include the Paris Motor Show, Berlin Art Week, and the opening of Cadillac Europe stores in Frankfurt and Hamburg.
“Having a value-added preparation and delivery service for our European customers is an asset to our vehicle distribution network,” said Fyris Roos, director of supply chain and logistics planning for GM Europe.” As we expand sales of Cadillac across Europe, we leverage a logistics provider with recognised expertise and the ability to meet our requirements in terms of service quality and time criticality.”
As well as finished vehicle logistics Ceva is also managing the movement of parts for GM, including in Brazil. Sergio Marques, Ceva’s sales director for finished vehicle logistics in Europe, said the company was particularly pleased with the trust placed by GME in Ceva’s vehicle home preparation and delivery service for its Cadillac vehicles in France and Germany.
“This is a premium delivery service requiring rigor and operational excellence which will contribute to the customer experience of the Cadillac brand in Europe,” he said.
GM pulled out of production in Europe in 2017 when it sold its Opel and Vauxhall brands to PSA Group, now part of Stellantis with FCA.
