Michael DeLuca steps up to take CEO role at Acertus

Michael DeLuca replaces Trent Broberg as CEO of Acertus after three months as CFO.
Michael DeLuca has been appointed CEO at Acertus, the technology-based finished vehicle logistics provider, just three months after joining the company as chief financial officer (CFO). He replaces Trent Broberg who has taken up a new CEO role at a company yet to be announced.
DeLuca brings two decades of financial and operational planning to Acertus. Prior to joining the company, he was CFO at YA Group and before that at Integrated Supply Network (ISN). Earlier in his career, DeLuca held leadership roles at Tech Data, Deloitte, and PwC, gaining global experience in both North America and Europe.

Acertus said that DeLuca will now focus on setting the strategic vision to capitalise on current business momentum, innovating technology and meeting evolving market demands.
Acertus already provides shippers with at transport management system providing real-time GPS tracking, advanced digital inspection data, automated reporting and custom data visualisation.
For his part, DeLuca said he was humbled and honoured to step into the role of CEO at Acertus. “Having served as CFO, I’ve seen first-hand the talent on the Acertus team and the strength of our commitment to customers. I am proud of the relationships that have been built and am excited to lead this exceptional team into the next chapter.”
In a post on LinkedIn, Broberg said it had been an honour to lead the team at Acertus and his tenure had seen “real growth, a stronger platform and, most importantly, thousands of families positively impacted across our network”.
Acertus has also announced that it is expanding its executive team with the creation of two new roles. Kevin Oakleaf has been appointed to the newly established position of chief legal counsel and secretary and Gina Sheffler will step into the new role of senior vice-president of business and customer enablement.
