The new Mosolf facility will be used for specialised vehicle storage, inspection and technical preparation. The 161,000 sq. ft site is comprised of open vehicle storage and a nearly 11,000 sq. ft warehouse equipped for pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and technical vehicle preparation services.

Jafza confirmed that the facility has been fully operational since March this year, and noted that vehicles at the site will be processed in line with established international automotive standards.

Based in Germany but with locations in Poland, Spain, Belgium, France, the Czech Republic and China, Mosolf has focused on international expansion in recent years, with a particular focus on strategic growth in the GCC. At the beginning of 2025, Mosolf Port Logistics and Services (MPLS) acquired Transport Overseas Group (TO Group) – giving MPLS access to TO Group's existing international footprint in markets including in Finland, the USA and, through its location in Dubai, the UAE.

"The establishment of Mosolf's facility in Jafza represents an important step in our international growth strategy," commented Dr Joerg Mosolf, chairman of Mosolf Group. "The location, infrastructure and connectivity available here enable us to deliver high-quality, flexible vehicle processing services while supporting knowledge transfer and the development of local expertise in the UAE."

The announcement of Mosolf's expanded vehicle processing capacity at Jebel Ali comes as Jafza confirmed that Jebel Ali Port handled nearly 1.1 million vehicles in 2025 and saw a 15% year-on-year increase in ro-ro volumes.

Jafza also noted increasing demand for specialised vehicle processing and preparation capacity across regional distribution networks. It said that the opening of the facility introduces new value-added services that will support automotive trade flows through Dubai.

“The MOSOLF facility strengthens Jafza’s growing automotive ecosystem by introducing specialised vehicle processing and technical services that add value for manufacturers and distributors operating across regional markets," said Abdulla Al Hashmi, global COO for parks and economic zones at DP World, which owns and operates Jebel Ali Port. "By continuing to attract specialised automotive logistics providers, Jafza is enabling faster, more efficient and more flexible supply chains for the global automotive sector.”
