Strategy for transparency
Overhaul acquires FreightVerify to increase visibility

In-transit supply chain risk management firm Overhaul has acquired visibility platform FreightVerify to increase end-to-end control and tracking of shipments.
The strategic acquisition will combine complementary capabilities, talent and technology to deliver even greater value to customers, according to Overhaul. The firm said that the combined company will protect supply chains from delays and enable customers to act before disruption hits.
The move follows similar acquisitions within automotive logistics. Last year, Blue Yonder announced it would acquire One Network Enterprise, a provider of intelligent control towers and digital supply chain network technology, in a bid to improve planning, execution and resilience despite geopolitical disruptions and risks. Just last month, Cognosos agreed on the acquisition of Cox 2M to expand AI-powered location intelligence for vehicles, containers and high-value mobile assets.
“Our approach ensures any delayed shipment can be linked to its contents to proactively prevent and act against downstream issues that would disrupt factories, stores and customer orders,” said Barry Conlon, co-founder and CEO, Overhaul. “This acquisition doubles down on Overhaul’s commitment to delivering actionable solutions. It’s precisely the kind of effective, uniquely capable investment we’re excited to make, a very rare find with powerful potential across multiple verticals.”
Professor Yossi Sheffi, co-founder of FreightVerify and director of the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics said: “The fusion of FreightVerify’s precision tracking with Overhaul’s risk mitigation represents a paradigm shift in supply chain dynamics. This is not merely visibility, it’s a holistic framework that integrates real-time data with predictive resilience, fundamentally enhancing decision-making under uncertainty.”
