Paule Tchiegne Wandji, associate director, logistics COE process and governance at International Motors, joins Automotive Logistics on the Red Sofa at Automotive Logistics & Supply Chain Digital Strategies North America and shares crucial insights into driving successful digital transformation through closer collaboration between logistics and IT.

Speaking with host Riad Mannan, senior content producer for Automotive Logistics, Wandji emphasises that effective change management is foundational to any transformation. “We need to understand the purpose – the why behind the transformation – and how this aligns with our business priority,” she explains. Strategic alignment, leadership commitments and strong cultural advocacy form the first pillar of her approach.

The second pillar is proactive stakeholder engagement. “We need to build a network of digital champions early to drive ownership and build trust,” Wandji says. The third is continuous training and capability building: “Transformation does not start with the tool. We start with the people.”

Wandji highlighted how International Motors’ logistics control tower is central to operational governance. It provides real-time visibility and decision-making support, built on clear roles, standardised processes and values-based performance metrics.

On AI adoption, Wandji shares: “AI is not just about adopting the tool. It’s about preparing the entire organisation to unlock its full potential.” She outlines three enablers – process readiness, people readiness and ecosystem trust – warning against automating broken workflows and stressing the importance of trust and capability building.

Looking to the future, she believes co-creation between logistics and IT will unlock real value: “If logistics and IT collaborate together as one, we will see an acceleration in digital transformation.”

Her closing thought resonated strongly: “Success is not just an outcome, it is a journey – achieving value, adapting quickly, and consistently realising impact.”
