John Ferry has responsibility across Lucid’s packaging engineering and strategy as the electric vehicle OEM gears up to launch production at its new plant in Casa Grande, Arizona. He oversees packaging functions across the supply chain, including packaging equipment, containerisation, returnable racks, labelling and compliance. Before joining Lucid in 2019, he spent more than four years at Tesla, where he had ownership of component packaging and returnable containers and was lead engineer for shipping battery packs and drive units. He has also worked in packaging engineering at automotive tier-1 suppliers.

Rodney Salmon has been active in the automotive packaging industry for the past 25 years. He was Commercial Director of Linpac Global Automotive Packaging for 15 years and has for the past 10 years been a leading consultant in the industry, including with IPL Macro and for key OEMs. He has led on the introduction of the Eurobin/ISO project with Ford Motor Company and CHEP, which is now approaching 500,000 bins in the market. Rodney has also worked with lead packaging manufacturers in returnable and expendable products and helped with the introduction of innovative line side packaging, and is also helping to develop new Robotics/Cobotics solutions.
