DSV appoints Maciej Walenda to head contract logistics
Maciej Walenda has taken over from Albert-Derk Bruin as CEO of DSV’s contract logistics division where he will oversee warehousing, distribution and fulfilment services for the Denmark-based global logistics provider.

Walenda moves from his role as DSV’s regional CEO for contract logistics in Europe. Since joining DSV in 2013, he has held several key roles, including managing director of Poland and executive vice-president for Central and East Europe.
“I am delighted to welcome Maciej Walenda as our new CEO of contract logistics,” said DSV’s group COO, Brian Ejsing. “We are confident in Maciej's ability to lead the division into the next chapter given his deep experience and proven ability to mobilise teams and drive results in difficult market conditions. I look forward to working closely with him as we continue our integration journey.”
Albert-Derk Bruin, who has been with DSV for 15 years, including as executive vice-president, is leaving to pursue a role outside the company.
"On behalf of the Executive Board, I would also like to thank Albert-Derk for his hard work over the past 15 years,” said Ejsberg. “His contributions have been instrumental in shaping our contract logistics business, and we wish him all the best in his future pursuits."
In April this year DSV formally completed its acquisition of DB Schenker for €14.3 billion ($16.3 billion) and reorganised executive leadership appointments “to maintain momentum and further strengthen the commercial approach and integration efforts”.
That includes Helmut Schweighofer, Vishal Sharma and Saskia Blochberger, who have joined DSV’s Group Executive Committee from Schenker. Schweighofer is now CEO of the road division, Sharma is group chief commercial officer, while Blochberger is now chief procurement officer.
