Rudolf Luttmann (pictured) has been appointed managing director for Europe at ICL Systems, which provides cloud-based finished vehicle logistics software and services. He took up the role on June 1.

Luttmann brings extensive knowledge of the logistics industry to ICL Systems. He began his career at Volkswagen Transport and held several management positions in Germany, Brazil and North America over an 18-year tenure.

In Germany he was responsible for VW Group’s planning and purchasing of global outbound logistics and initiated several IT projects with MIT in Boston.

In 2002, Luttmann left VW and joined Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), Tokyo as general manager sales and marketing for Europe and Africa. Three years later he took over the responsibility for all car carrier activities in Europe and Africa as director of MOL London.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rudolf Luttmann to the ICL team,” said Patrick Donahoe, CEO and founder of ICL. “As the pandemic has further proven, I believe the time is ripe for advancing processes through digitalisation, and supply chain visibility is simply a key requirement of basically any distributor.”

Luttmann steps into the role formerly held by Dominik Tichelkamp who sadly passed away in February this year.
