Lytle spoke to Christopher Ludwig, chief content officer, Automotive Logistics on the Red Sofa to disucss how Honda has realigned its teams and centralised support functions to allow for smoother, more efficient digitalisation across the OEM.

“Over the past four or five years, we’ve gotten ourselves into a comfortable position to realign ourselves organisationally and centralise most of our support functions to get to the point where we can start establishing new technology and then capitalising that across our entire North American region,” he said.
Lytle said this has led to a reestablishment on a larger scale for all of North America’s value chain. He said: “So instead of the traditional world where we looked at our supply chain as moving products and parts around and into our manufacturing facilities, we’re now encompassing everything fom our service parts, dealerships, finished vehicles and our inbound logistics, with all of it being tied together using the same systems, same tools, same people and in the same process.”
