GAC Group and Jameel Motors officially launched the AION brand in the UK on 28 May, 2026

Following AION's launch in the UK on 28 May this year, AION confirmed that it has partnered with DHL Supply Chain in the UK for service parts logistics. Through this agreement, DHL Supply Chain will manage parts storage, inventory management, order fulfilment and distribution of AION service parts through its UK logistics network.

The deal was agreed in advance of AION's arrival to the UK market, allowing the two companies to prepare operations as the first UK customers take delivery of their AION V SUVs. As a result of this preparation, AION announced that from August 10, it is able to provide its customers with next-day parts distribution nationwide.

At launch, more than 1,250 genuine AION V part lines were in stock and available for rapid nationwide delivery, providing retailers, repairers and accredited workshops with fast access to components when required. Additionally, AION has designed a fully digitised ordering system with the aim of minimising vehicle downtime.

AION expects its dealer network in the UK to reach around 25 locations by the end of the year, and hopes to increase this number to around 100 by 2030.

"We know that a common concern for drivers considering a new brand is whether spare parts are readily available should the worst happen," noted Ben Hurford, aftersales director at AION Auto UK. "Even before we sold our first car, we partnered with DHL to establish and stock up a dedicated UK parts warehouse so we can respond immediately when a workshop needs us to ship parts to them."

Hurford said that by estbalishing a dedicated warehouse facility and ensuring parts were available from day one, AION demonstrated its long-term investment in the UK market and its customers, claiming that earning the trust of the public is key to sustainable growth.

AION's service parts operation is an important part of its 'Great 8 Promise', offering customers support throughout the vehicle’s eight-year warranty with servicing, roadside assistance and MOT.

"We're proud to support AION's entry into the UK market and to bring our experience working with automotive manufacturers and new market entrants to this partnership," commented Paul Stone, managing director of manufacturing logistics at DHL Supply Chain. "Fast, reliable access to parts is one of the most important factors in delivering a strong customer experience. By combining our warehousing expertise with rapid nationwide distribution, we're helping AION build trust with retailers and customers from the very start."
