Stellantis to open automated Mopar PDC in Georgia

The OEM is investing $41m in the Georgia PDC to support Mopar's long-term growth strategy.
Stellantis North America is investing more than $41m in a new parts distribution centre (PDC) for its Mopar genuine service parts and accessories brand, which will be located in Forsyth, Georgia. The carmaker said the 39,200 sq.m facility will further strengthen its US parts distribution network for Stellantis vehicle brands for the south-eastern US.
The PDC will feature a 1,500 sq.m AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system using Swisslog software that will use 66 robots to retrieve parts from a high-density grid of bins and transport them to processing stations. From there employees will prepare the parts for final shipment to service centres across the region. The parts are shipped to dealerships selling and servicing Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Alfa Romeo and Fiat vehicles.
“This facility represents a critical investment in Mopar’s long-term growth strategy and our ability to support the dedicated workforce that drives our success,” said Darren Bradshaw, senior vice-president of Mopar North America. “It provides our UAW-represented employees with the tools, technology and environment they need to deliver exceptional service to our dealers and customers while supporting our commitment to efficiency and sustainability.”
The facility is expected to employ 90 members of staff affiliated with the United Auto Workers (UAW) union.

The Georgia PDC is the latest in a series of aftermarket facility investments by Stellantis. In May this year the carmaker announced it was opening a Metro Detroit Megahub for Mopar parts distribution in Van Buren Township, Michigan in 2027 and another one in East Fishskill, New York. Both of those PDCs will also feature the AutoStore system. The AutoStore system, which is powered by Swisslog technology, was first introduced to handle Mopar parts in North America at Stellantis Candian PDC in Brampton, Ontario in 2024.
As with those facilities Stellantis said the Forsyth PDC will use energy-saving technologies and sustainable building practices to minimise environmental impact and enhance operational performance.
In July Stellantis expanded the range of accessories available to US-based dealerships that sell and service Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles. The new Mopar Affiliated Accessories programme offers more than 1,000 accessories from aftermarket supplier partners.
