Edgard Pezzo leads GMs’ multi-billion-dollar annual transport network globally while positioning logistics upfront early in the vehicle development process and eliminating waste in logistics operations by bringing technology, innovation and transformational ideas. He has spent the majority of his 37-year career at GM in areas including supplier quality, purchasing and supply chain, including his previous role as VP of Global Purchasing and Supply Chain for South America. He trained in 1978 as a mechanical technician at Escola Tecnica Industrial de San Bernardo Do Campo in Brazil. He later received his degree in 1985 as an Industrial Engineer from Facultade Ingenieria Industrial São Bernardo Do Campo. In 1998, he received his MBA at Business School São Paulo with a specialisation in marketing.

Recent roles include director of component capacity and production scheduling, and director of interregional flows and customers before taking on his current role in the new global Stellantis supply chain team in July 2021. Mattingly has a degree in operations management from Wayne State University and a master’s in business administration from Central Michigan University.

He joined Nissan in 2002. He previously held logistics positions in auto parts retail and 3PL automotive companies. Styles holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

In the role since January 2020, David Leich leads global supply chain operations along with assembly, propulsion and stamping, material launch execution and the demand/supply planning and scheduling organisations. He represents GM’s Global Purchasing and Supply Chain team on its North American Staff. He joined GM in 1989 and has worked across purchasing, supply chain and production, including working at different plants, executing launching for new vehicles and a greenfield plant. He has also led supply chain for pre-production, launch readiness and risk management, before taking over demand/supply planning in 2019 to lead vehicle and propulsion scheduling and capacity planning. Since 2015, Dave has represented General Motors on the Board of Directors for the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG). He has a BS Degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University and a MS Degree in Management from Walsh College in Troy, MI.

Dr Jacob Ward serves as supply chain deployment manager in the United States Department of Energy’s new Energy Sector Industrial Base program within the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains, where he leads the federal government’s efforts in modelling, mapping, and analysing America’s critical energy supply chains. Previously, Dr Ward worked for 15 years with US DOE’s Vehicle Technologies Office, where he served as the program manager for operations and analysis, the acting program manager for mobility systems, and the director for DOE’s sustainable-transportation industry partnership. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy and Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where his research focused on the energy and environmental impacts of shared, automated, and electrified mobility systems. Dr Ward also holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Georgetown University and the University of Texas at Austin, respectively.

Mike Valentine began working in supply chain roles over 25 years ago and has mainly been in the Automotive sector. Prior to syncreon, Mike held numerous roles working at Deloitte as a Manager and for General Motors as a Director of Process Engineering. From 2009 - 2015, he was formerly the VP of Sales for the global supply chain and logistics company UTi Worldwide working as a logistics provider in Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics.  
Mike Valentine has been with syncreon, a DP World company, for more than seven years, serving in diverse senior leadership roles such as the head of Corporate Strategy, the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), and now an SVP leading Solutions Engineering & Automation. As CHRO, Mike led the global people aspects of a logistics provider with union and non-union employees serving customers in labour markets brimming with low unemployment and escalating wage rates.  
Now leading Solutions Engineering & Automation, Mike oversees the function that is responsible for the design and implementation of contract logistics solutions for customers, as well as driving the pace of automation and technological change.

Kacie Freeberg is the Senior Director of the Industrial Value Stream Team at ORBIS Corporation. She joined ORBIS in 2014, bringing in over 8 years of experience in Food & Beverage Manufacturing at various locations. Kacie is responsible for all marketing, new product development, and pricing for reusable packaging that services the Automotive and Heavy Truck markets. This includes all standard proprietary products and custom solutions.  Kacie holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry from the University of Minnesota, and Master of Science in Engineering Management from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. She received her Master Black Belt from Arizona State University in 2016, Black Belt from ASQ in 2012, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI in 2014.

Raman Mehta is SVP and CIO of Johnson Electric, a multi-national supplier serving the automotive, industrial and medical industries, and is responsible for the digital transformation and acceleration of the company’s industry 4.0 journey. Prior to joining Johnson Electric earlier this year, Raman spent 4 years at Visteon as VP and CIO and leader of global IT, including design, development and implementation of global platforms and processes to increase performance. Prior to Visteon, Ramen held CIO roles at manufacturing service provider Fabrinet and automotive supplier EWIE Company, and was a director at Oracle for more than 13 years. Mehta has an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, a Bachelor of Engineering in electrical and electronics from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India.

Ken previously held logistics engineering roles at Ryder, SynQuest, and Delphi where he was involved with projects around the globe to drive significant improvements in various supply chains. During the last 11 years with the Carter Family of Companies, he has been instrumental in increasing US sales three-fold and developing the new service offerings: last-mile logistics, in-plant logistics, and Intra-Mexico consolidations.

Matt Pohlman took over as CEO of AIAG in summer 2022, responsible for the association’s membership, activities, standardisation and collaboration work across the automotive value chain. AIAG has more than 4,000 member companies, and works closely with industry, government and partners to drive standards and quality across engineering, manufacturing and logistics, as well to support skills development, recruitment and supplier diversity. Pohlman has nearly 40 years’ experience in roles across supply chain management, including supplier quality, production, sales and marketing, mainly across major tier-1 suppliers such as Delphi, Federal Mogul and ZF. He was most recently vice-president of supply chain operations at aftermarket parts supplier First Brand Groups.

Amy Broglin-Peterson has extensive experience leading end-to-end global supply chain, logistics, transportation and purchasing strategy development, reengineering and deployment projects. She is a member of the adjunct faculty at the Broad College of Business, in the Department of Supply Chain Management at Michigan State University, which has one of the top programs in the US for logistics and supply chain. She is also a principal consultant at Win*x Global Advisory, working across companies in manufacturing, automotive, electric vehicle, packaging and more. She has more than 20 years' experience in supply chain and purchasing roles including at Ford, American Axle, Bosch and major 3PLs.
