Renee Wawrzynski has led GM’s global logistics since January 2023, responsible for the carmaker’s multi-billion-dollar annual worldwide transport network across inbound, vehicle logistics, containers and packaging. She has worked at GM for more than 35 years across manufacturing, production control and logistics roles at numerous assembly and component plants. Over the past decade she has had leading central logistics and purchasing roles, including as director of containerisation and packaging in North America, and as director of global logistics, containerisation and future programmes. She later moved into direct purchasing, including as director for raw material purchasing and for body and exterior purchasing. Prior to her current role, Wawrzynski was director of demand and supply planning and scheduling within GM’s global supply chain team. She has a degree in materials management from Kettering University in Michigan, and an MBA in international business from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Chris Styles has been vice president, supply chain management, North America since March 2021. He is responsible for supply chain activities for all production parts and finished vehicle distribution in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Previously, he was senior director of supply chain logistics in the US, where he was responsible for vehicle and inbound logistics, packaging engineering and logistics strategy. Styles has worked as director of logistics for the US and Canada in Nissan's supply chain management organisation, director of purchasing for Mexico, and director of purchasing for logistics, aftermarket and accessory parts for the Americas region. He joined Nissan in 2002. He previously held logistics positions in auto parts retail and 3PL automotive companies. Styles holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Oliver Bilstein is responsible for logistics and production control operations for BMW’s plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, which is the OEM’s largest factory globally. He oversees inbound logistics, plant logistics and material control across the plant’s multiple warehouses, press, body and paint shops and battery assembly, with responsibility through to outbound logistics shipping and export. Bilstein has been with BMW for 25 years across functions including corporate planning, capacity planning and model allocation, as well as logistics. He spent three years in China leading production projects for BMW’s JV BMW Brilliance, and led logistics and financial controlling for BMW’s plant in Munich before taking on his current role in 2021.

Anna Markett has been in the leading role for supply chain management at Stellantis North America since August 2022. She is responsible for instilling and executing the carmaker’s Dare Forward 2030 plan, including demand, production and long-range planning, order-to-delivery processes, supplier capacity, inbound and outbound logistics, as well as managing the flow of parts and materials to the carmaker’s 35 plants across the region. Markett joined the carmaker in 2000 at Windsor Assembly Plant in her native Canada and has worked across leadership roles in manufacturing and supply chain, including in material logistics, supplier delivery risk, world class manufacturing and logistics and as vice-president of North America supply. Anna Markett has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Windsor.

He has served on AIAG’s Finished Vehicle Logistics Advisory Group since 2017.
He holds a Bachelors of Science in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business and a Masters in Finance from Wayne State University’s Mike Illitch School of Business.

In the role since January 2020, David Leich leads global supply chain operations along with assembly, propulsion and stamping, material launch execution and the demand/supply planning and scheduling organisations. He represents GM’s Global Purchasing and Supply Chain team on its North American Staff. He joined GM in 1989 and has worked across purchasing, supply chain and production, including working at different plants, executing launching for new vehicles and a greenfield plant. He has also led supply chain for pre-production, launch readiness and risk management, before taking over demand/supply planning in 2019 to lead vehicle and propulsion scheduling and capacity planning. Since 2015, Dave has represented General Motors on the Board of Directors for the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG). He has a BS Degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University and a MS Degree in Management from Walsh College in Troy, MI.

Terri plays an instrumental role in the company with her deep knowledge and expertise in seating that continues to support 19 divisions across North America. Stevenson started her career at Magna as a Production Associate at Qualtech Seating in 2003. She has held various roles throughout her career including Material Handler, Material Planner, Production Control Manager, Launch Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Director of Materials at four divisions. Stevenson has a Bachelor of Psychology from University of Western Ontario. She has participated in the Magna’s Mentoring Matters Program for the last two years, as a Pod Mentor and recently as the US Facilitator.

Oleg Gusikhin has led Ford Global Supply Chain Analytics since January 2023 where he is responsible for delivering data-driven decision support and actionable insights to Ford’s supply chain and material planning and logistics business units. Oleg Gusikhin has over 30 years of experience in application of advanced technology and analytics in the automotive industry. For over 20 years, he has been working at Ford Motor Company in different functional areas. Dr. Gusikhin delivered many high-impact contributions to production scheduling, supply chain risk management, and connected vehicles technology and services.

He is a recipient of three Henry Ford Technology Awards, the 2014 INFORMS Daniel H. Wagner Prize for Excellence in the Practice of Advanced Analytics and Operations Research, and the 2009 Institute of Industrial Engineers Transactions Best Application Paper Prize in Scheduling and Logistics. Dr. Gusikhin is a Fellow of INFORMS, Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Control by the Association for Supply Chain Management and a Lecturer in the Industrial and Operations Engineering department at the University of Michigan.

Gerardo is an experienced automotive supply chain executive with extensive experience leading Nissan’s regional and global supply chain and manufacturing operations, currently responsible for supply chain improvements in North America. He recently led Nissan Americas Semiconductor Supply Crisis Management Strategy enabling incremental production volume during the severe global supply crisis, receiving the 2021 Global Nissan President Special Award in recognition of his leadership and his teams’ contribution.

Since joining Nissan in 1989 he has successfully implemented global innovations, improvements and strategies across new model launches in Mexico, Brazil and USA, dealer and manufacturing order-to-delivery and vehicle allocation in the Americas markets, and global sales planning and car flow management in Japan. Nick Thompson is responsible for overseeing vehicle distribution activities at Stellantis within North America, including regional logistics across mode, along with vehicle imports and exports. He took on the role with then FCA in 2017 and has played a key role in developing the carmaker’s vehicle logistics strategy. Thompson joined the carmaker in 2012 and has held various roles within finished vehicle logistics. Initially, he oversaw operations for vehicle distribution centres as well as multiple assembly plants in the region. He also completed a rotation in truckload procurement and network optimisation, as well as working in Supplier Delivery Risk Management operations prior to leading vehicle logistics. Thompson began his career working for JB Hunt Transport in its dedicated contract services division. He holds a master’s degree from Ferris State University (2011) and a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management from Michigan State University (2005).

The network includes 13 fulfilment centres, all modes of transportation oversight, and operations with 10+ North American and Global Distributors. He has worked for Toyota for more than 20 years across parts operations, including network planning and project management, as well as roles in post-production processing and vehicle logistics. He oversaw Toyota’s Baltimore and Boston parts distribution centres operations and went on to lead parts operations across the region. Michael Schad has a BA in business logistics from Penn State University and an MBA from Boston University.

Maxim leads Benteler’s 400 strong supply chain organisation, responsible for a €70m+ annual spend, €125m inventory and manages over 450 suppliers.  
Maxim has extensive experience in the automotive supply chain, and prior to moving to North America in 2018, he held international supply chain management roles with Benteler as well as with Robert Bosch and PSA. He has successfully overseen new project and new plant launches across Europe, holding positions in Russia, Poland and Germany. During his 4-year spell with Robert Bosch, he also obtained a PhD in Economics.

She is now happily back in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan. She has been an Associate Professor of Supply Chain at Aalen University in Germany and holds a degree in International Business. She enjoys creating strategy with her team and developing a culture of coaching leadership. Martin J. Oberman was designated Chairman of the Surface Transportation Board (STB) by President Biden on January 21, 2021. The STB is an independent federal agency responsible for economic regulation of surface transportation, primarily freight rail.
With an extensive career in the public and private sectors, Marty served as General Counsel to the Illinois Racing Board from 1973-1974 and later as Alderman of Chicago City Council’s 43rd Ward from 1975 to 1987. He became Chairman of Metra, the Chicago region’s commuter railroad, the second-largest U.S. commuter railroad, in 2014. Marty also served on the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning board until November 2018. Additionally, he has maintained a successful legal practice in Chicago as both a trial and appellate lawyer since 1975. Marty graduated with honors from Yale University and the University of Wisconsin Law School, serving as a Note Editor of the Wisconsin Law Review.

He has held a variety of roles in procurement, including as purchasing manager responsible for solar installation (and other projects) that helped Toyota’s HQ in Plano reach LEED Platinum Status. He is recognized in the industry for pioneering lithium battery life cycle logistics and is passionate about supply chain decarbonization.

Jessica Hanson is vice president of logistics for Bosch in North America. In this position, she oversees the coordination of all logistics functions across North American operations, including production planning, packaging, transportation, customs, warehousing and distribution. Hanson’s team is responsible for supply of raw materials, just-in-time delivery, as well as warehousing and distribution. She manages an operating budget of approximately $244m, along with $4 billion in sales turnover and $490m in freight spend. Hanson supervises 2m square feet of warehousing space and leads roughly 1,100 associates. She joined Bosch in 2018 and is based in Farmington Hills, Mich. She previously leadership positions at Yazaki North America, including manufacturing planning, logistics management and supply chain. She as most recently vice-president of programme management and engineering, where she led a team of programme managers and engineers focused on the pre-development, launch, production, model year change-over and balance out of about $1 billion in annual wire harness sales globally.

He has more than 20 years’ experience in real-time asset location technology, including most recently as Chief Product Advocate for Ubisense, where he led on the company’s digitalisation and digital factory initatives for customers. Prior to that as Chief Technical Officer of Time Domain Corporation, where his role involved aligning a roadmap focused on the company’s core markets and navigating the required research funding – mostly from military research contractors – to advance that roadmap. Jennings has also worked at the UK Ministry of Defence and has an MA in physics from Oxford University. He describes himself as a ‘recovering rocket scientist’.
