The MoU extends the partnership between BYD Group and CEVA Logistics for the next three years, with CEVA Logistics committing to deliver end-to-end automotive logistics solutions for BYD on a global scale across six continents.
CEVA Logistics will collaborate with BYD to implement end-to-end logistics solutions tailored to the OEM's needs, covering route planning, capacity allocation, warehousing and distribution, customs coordination, localised operations, end-to-end delivery management and the advancement of low-carbon logistics solutions.
Coinciding with the signing of the MoU in Marseille, CEVA Logistics was presented with BYD's 'Best Carrier of the Year 2026' award, recognising the logistics company’s "exceptional service and automotive logistics expertise".
Presented by He Zhiqi, executive vice president of BYD Group and COO of BYD Auto, the award recognised CEVA Logistics’ "consistent performance, service reliability and operational agility in supporting BYD’s global logistics operations".
"CEVA Logistics has proven to be a trusted partner, consistently supporting our high standards for quality, reliability and operational excellence," said He.
He also recognised that CEVA Logistics has played an important role in supporting BYD's commitment to localisation in markets around the world. The expansion of this partnership comes at a critical time for BYD, as its international strategy shifts focus from finished vehicle exports to a broader global manufacturing network.
"As BYD accelerates its global expansion, strengthening global manufacturing capabilities and advancing localised production are essential to driving sustainable growth in international markets," He added. "We look forward to further deepening our partnership [with CEVA Logistics] to build more resilient and locally responsive supply chains."
CEVA Logistics has expanded its capabilities to meet BYD's requirements alongside the OEM's rapid growth, including in finished vehicle logistics, inbound manufacturing logistics, overseas distribution, aftersales services and plant supply continuity.
Leveraging its global network and local execution capabilities, CEVA Logistics claims to have helped BYD strengthen local supply chains across a number of relevant sectors including automotive, battery, energy storage and automotive electronics.
"BYD’s recognition marks an important milestone in our long-standing partnership and is a strong endorsement of the trust built through consistent operational excellence," commented Mathieu Friedberg, CEO of CEVA Logistics. "As mobility and energy transition accelerate globally, resilient, sustainable and locally responsive supply chains are becoming a critical enabler of growth."
"CEVA Logistics is proud to partner with BYD to advance future-ready automotive logistics through sustainable and innovative solutions across the globe," Friedberg added.
This news follows the announcement that CEVA Logistics, CMA CGM and Chery signed an MoU committing to a long-term strategic collaboration to support Chery's own international expansion ambitions.
