Yuksel joined Christopher Ludwig, Chief of Content, Automotive Logistics following his keynote panel session and interactive ideas lab featuring key supply chain stakeholders on the opportunities, collaboration, co-investment and barriers that need to be considered when manufacturers move from pilot programmes to scaling green logistics, including using alternative fuels, low and zero-emissions logistics equipment and solutions.
He stressed the importance of partnerships between logistics providers, suppliers and OEMs in reducing emissions and improving sustainability across the automotive supply chain, and said stakeholders need to work together to collaboratively find the gaps and solve them.
As part of JLR’s Reimagine Strategy to become carbon net zero by 2039, Yuksel is setting himself, his team and their partners ambitious but achievable goals. He says he will always strive to improve the carmaker’s sustainability in freight operations.
