Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) is supporting aftermarket services for the BharatBenz division with the inauguration this month of its first parts distribution and service centre in Coimbature, in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. The facility has been set up with Prabal Trucking and is part of BharatBenz’s network expansion in the country.
“BharatBenz is in its third phase of its network expansion, where we will double the number of our sales and service touchpoints in the next two-to-three years [taking] us even closer to our customers,” said a spokesperson for DICV.
BharatBenz currently has more than 200 service centres across India and 18 in Tamil Nadu.
As with the other centres, the new one in Coimbatore will stock the full range of fast-moving parts and lubricants, and offer repairs and replacements for the truck parc in the region.
“Easy availability of BharatBenz genuine parts becomes even more vital as we rapidly grow our vehicle parc,” said Ramesh Rajagopalan, vice-president of customer service at DICV. “This is an extension of the ProServ promise to ensure high vehicle uptime. We will continue to strengthen our aftermarket support for customers and will expand this service to other regions.”
