Parts and accessories maker Bosal has leased a logistics facility at the Goodman Kecskemét Logistics Centre in central Hungary. The 7,700 sq.m facility, provided by commercial property developer Goodman, will be used to house surplus stock as part of increased production there. The company supplies material to the nearby Daimler facility, which makes the Mercedes-Benz B-Class and CLA, and the CLA Shooting Brake.

Bosal’s manufacturing facility in Kecskemét, which started operations in 2010, produces lifting jacks, windstops and towbars systems.

"Bosal has seen a marked increase in demand and production, which required an immediate response to help us manage our warehousing requirements,” said Bosal Hungary’s managing director, Pál Gajda. “Goodman acted quickly to provide a great solution that is perfect for our needs.”

Blazej Ciesielczak, Goodman’s regional director for Central and Eastern Europe said: “We are proud to have been able to provide an immediate solution for our customer and it reinforces the Goodman Kecskemét Logistcs Center as a prime location for customers in the automotive industry. Having fully leased all of our existing properties in Hungary, we will focus on expanding our portfolio through new developments on our land banks to meet growing customer demand.”

Those developments involve 120,000 sq.m of new logistics space in Hungary, near the capital Budapest. The two sites are located next to existing properties owned by Goodman’s flagship European fund, the Goodman European Logistic Fund (GELF). The Goodman Gyál Logistics Centre has the potential to develop an additional 20,000 sq. m of logistics space, while the Goodman Üll? Airport Logistics Centre has capacity to construct a further 109,000 sq. m on the site.
