US-based finished vehicle logistics provider MetroGistics has hired John Heimann (pictured) as associate vice-president of information technology. The company said Heimann would help develop IT operations, as well as being heavily involved in the integration of MetroGistics’ customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
Heimann has 28 years of experience managing IT and integration projects, including 20 years in the transport industry. His most recent role was as director of integration and initiatives at Express Scripts, the pharmaceutical management company he joined in 2010 as senior manager of IT. Heimann’s IT career also includes stints with Union Pacific Technologies, Transentric and JMN Logistics, where he previously worked with MetroGistics founders William Billiter and Scott Naz.
“John is a familiar and trusted technologist with roots in the vehicle-transportation space,” said Craig Clayton, vice-president, information technology at MetroGistics. “He has moved up and been promoted at rapidly growing companies, and his experience will help our entire organisation connect the dots and streamline IT operations.”
