Hartmut Haubrich

Systems and IT group Inform has appointed Hartmut Haubrich as director of finished vehicle logistics systems. It is a newly created position following Haubrich’s move from director of delivery at the company’s aviation division.

Haubrich will be responsible for the business solutions needed to develop the company’s outbound logistics sector, and he will also manage major accounts for Inform. He will take on the new role alongside serving as head of a specialised global vehicle distribution project.

Founded in 1969, INFORM has been growing steadily at a rate of 20% per year. The company currently employs over 450 people to support more than 1,000 customers worldwide.

The vice-president of manufacturing logistics, Matthias Berlit, said that the appointment reflected Haubrich’s experience in the supply chain and global resource management. “His aviation logistics background brings new approaches and ideas to our growing automotive logistics division,” he said.

Inform has a number of leading applications for vehicle logistics, including SyncroTESS, a comprehensive software solution for finished vehicle logistics and yard management. The software maps the distribution chain from compound and transport management to network planning. SyncroTESS is used by OEMs, ports and logistics providers with their own car terminals. It covers road, rail and sea transport.
