The beginning of May saw Helmut Kaspers join Ceva Logistics as its chief operation officer for Global Air and Ocean Freight. He joins Ceva from Kaspers Consulting + Investment, an international logistics consultancy established in 2013.
He brings with him substantial experience from the logistics world having previously worked at Logwin, Kuehne + Nagel and DB Schenker. He is also a non-executive for TAL International and has been a board member for Greencarrier.
“We are delighted to welcome Helmut to Ceva,” stated Xavier Urbain. “His extensive experience in air and ocean freight will be a tremendous asset to our customers. Helmut is a change agent with a deep commitment to building and supporting organizations, creating lasting value. His proven record in building growth-driven, solid business foundations will be a great addition to our company.”
Kaspers will join Ceva’s Executive Board.
Kaspers played an important role in the transformation of Logwin’s Air and Ocean global business, setting it up the expansion of its seafreight and airfreight networks. He left the company in 2012 at his own request in pursuit of what was described at the time as a ‘sabbatical’.
