Koopman Logistics, the largest finished vehicle service provider in the Benelux region of Europe, has appointed Maurice de Wilde (pictured) to the newly created role of chief financial officer (CFO).

“We are strengthening the team at Koopman, given the significant growth we have seen over the past years and the business opportunities we are working on,” said Jon Kuiper, CEO of Koopman Logistics Group.

De Wilde will take up the role at Koopman at the beginning of October. He moves from the Dutch Shell subsidiary, GasTerra, where he worked for four and a half years as CFO. Prior to that held a number of financial positions with Shell and Dutch oil and energy company, NAM.

“I look forward to this next step in my career with great pleasure,” said de Wilde. “The branch in which Koopman Logistics Group acts appeals to me very much.”

Kuiper said he saw major opportunities ahead: “The markets in which we act are presently evolving significantly. With our customers, we focus on an integral approach for our common processes. By working this way, we believe we can achieve major breakthroughs in our business. We aim to further strengthen our position as a leading logistics provider in finished vehicle logistics. Therefore I am very pleased with Maurice de Wilde as CFO and I look forward to working with him.”
