Dr Richard Gibson has joined Yusen Logistics as strategic development director. He will be based in the UK at the company’s headquarters in Northampton.
Gibson brings a wide range of experience to the role, both from within the logistics industry, as well as from the broader business environment. He was most recently part of the Global Materials Management team at BP and has also worked at Wincanton, Musgrave Budgens Londis, Boc Distribution Services and Argos, amongst others.
He has a PhD in logistics, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport and sits on the committee of the Outsourcing and Procurement special interest group.
