Ryan Kraft takes over as CEO at United Road, building on 15 years at the leading US finished vehicle provider.
Ryan Kraft has been promoted to CEO at United Road, taking over from Mark Anderson. Kraft moves from his role as chief operating officer (COO) at the US finished vehicle logistics provider. Mark Anderson, who was both CEO and chairman, has moved to a senior advisor role at the company to assist with the transition and will leave the company once that is secured. A new chairman has yet to be named.
Kraft has been with United Road for 15 years and prior to his COO role was chief digital officer. He has also held roles in IT, project management and financial analysis, giving him a comprehensive view of the business. Kraft’s leadership includes the development of Haully, the in-vehicle telematics and real-time customer portal that United Road is using to enhance its services.
“Ryan has consistently brought vision, integrity and an unwavering drive to deliver results,” said Anderson. “He understands our business, our customers and our culture as well as anyone. He is absolutely the right person to lead United Road into its next era.”
Kraft said it is an honour to step into the role. “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together at United Road and energised by the opportunities ahead,” he said. “I am especially thankful to Mark for his steadfast leadership during some of the most challenging years in our company’s history.” Kraft said Anderson’s thoughtful leadership was an inspiration and something he would work to uphold in his new role at United Road.
Anderson was CEO at United Road from 2019, when he took over from Kathleen McCann. He joined the company in 2014 as COO and later added president and to his responsibilities.
