BCA Logistics, one of the four divisions of UK-based used car auction and vehicle logistics provider, BCA, is expanding its operations in the West Midlands region of England and moving to a new office at Birmingham Business Park. The company said the move would create up to 30 new jobs in the coming year as it expands its inspection services and logistics division.

BCA restructured its supply chain operations earlier this year into four divisions in a move the company said would improve support for manufacturers and fleet operators. Along with BCA Logistics, which carries out single vehicle deliveries, the new structure consists of BCA Vehicle Services, which provides new vehicle services, BCA Fleet Solutions, which delivers fleet management, defleet and refurbishment services, and BCA Automotive, which handles multiple vehicle logistics.

BCA Logistics is the UK’s largest automotive vehicle inspection and collection business operating an in-house team of 1,750 plate collection drivers, 155 vehicle inspectors supported by a fleet of in excess of 750 vehicles transporters (across the group). The company handles over 550,000 vehicle movements and 300,000 inspections per year. The new BCA Logistics office in Birmingham will accommodate up to 300 staff.

“We continue to invest in the best people and technology to drive efficiency through the automotive supply chain,” said Dean Hulse, managing director of BCA Logistics. “Birmingham has and will support both the immediate and future growth of our operations ensuring we fully support our customer’s business needs. Birmingham provides a head office centrally located with excellent road infrastructure in addition to a rich pool of talent in which to support its expanding workforce.”

Hulse joined the company in his present role last June.
