Ceva Logistics is expanding its operations in Canada with a move to a new 5,000 sq.m facility in Richmond, British Colombia that will provide air and ground freight management, and consolidation services, for a range of industries, including the automotive aftermarket. The company is moving to the new location on 1 March this year.

The new centre is located near Vancouver International Airport, the port of Vancouver – Canada's largest port – and major road arteries.  According to the company, the new operation offers a significant increase in dock doors, more trailer parking space, a freight yard to provide additional cargo container storage for ocean freight operations and 2,500 racking locations.  Ceva’s previous facility was also in Richmond, at Nelson Road.

"We've enjoyed great success in the Vancouver market and were simply out of space at our former location," stated David Convery, Ceva's country manager for Canada.  "This facility relieves space constraints and will enable us to better serve new and existing customers – including the many multi-national customers who utilise this operation – as well as better leverage our ocean freight and Eastbound less-than-truckload (LTL) services."
The facility will also offer global ocean NVOCC (Full Container Load (FCL) and Less-than-Container Load (LCL)), ocean import, brokerage, value-added services, warehousing, distribution and sector-specific services for automotive, technology, consumer and retail, industrial and other markets.
