Experts in new energy and propulsion technology discuss the transformation of the logistics industry and what the automotive industry can do to reduce emissions in the transport of parts and vehicles, as well as reducing risk as fuel prices continue to rise
Carmakers are working hard to meet strict emissions targets for the vehicles they manufacture but there are also strict targets governing the emissions generated across the entire supply chain, including in the transport of parts and vehicles. Traditionally, the fuel and systems that maritime, rail and commercial vehicle operators use have depended on high-polluting diesel and heavy fuels, which are now subject to both legislative restriction and rising prices. In response, transport providers across the modes are increasingly embracing new alternative fuels such as LNG, biofuels and synthetic natural gas, as well as cleaner engine and propulstion technolgies.
In this session, experts in energy and electric vehicle technology discuss the transformation of the logistics industry and what the automotive industry can do to reduce emissions and risk.
