Citing the Spanish Association of Vehicle Manufacturers (ANFAC), Flash Europe stated that the automotive market in the country was of “highly strategic significance” for its business.
"For nearly 25 years now, we are the logistics company for fast freight in the industrial sector,” said sales director, Gianni Maes. “As a professional service provider focusing on customers' needs, it is essential to be there on the ground where the customer needs us. Especially the Catalan region is the most important and export-oriented industrial region in Spain.”
The company has been supporting business in the country since 2008.
Flash Europe has set up its operations in Barcelona under the leadership of Ricardo Telinhos, country manager, Iberia. He will be supported by Spanish sales manager José Maria Llaneza, along with six local logistics experts (pictured).
ANFAC expects the number of vehicles produced in Spain to hit the 2.6m mark this year. Furthermore, at a recent presentation of its ‘3 Million Logistics’ initiative, attended by Spain’s minister for transport, Ana Pastor, the association said that with more efficient logistics in place, the country could even reach production of 4m vehicles over the next five years.
