Czech automotive parts distributor ELIT has selected Syncron’s Supply Chain Planner solution to improve its inventory management capabilities for Central and Eastern European markets. Syncron is a global supply chain software provider with customers in the automotive and commercial vehicles sectors including Volvo, JCB, Mazda, Alfa Laval, Scania, Renault and Komatsu.

ELIT will use the Syncron solution across Central and Eastern Europe to improve the planning and distribution of inventory and to increase the availability of parts to customers through improved demand forecasting. The company also aims to reduce total inventory levels in their supply chain with better planning and distribution of stock.

"We identified a gap in the performance of our existing software and our requirements in terms of planning and SKU distribution across the ELIT network,” said ELIT spokesperson Jiøí Vorlíèek. “In order to fully optimise our distribution we needed a solution that could provide the level of functionality that we needed while being able to fit easily with our business processes."

Syncron was selected ahead of 15 competing software providers, a key factor being its ability to complete the implementation within ELIT's requirements of three months.

"In the current economic climate many companies are looking for efficiencies in their supply chain operations, and they need to see significant and lasting improvements quickly," said Anders Grudén, CEO Syncron. "We are delighted that ELIT has selected Syncron to support their business, and look forward to developing our partnership with them."
