Dmitriy Bulaenko has left his position as logistics director at Russian carmaker and service provider Sollers and taken up a new role as sales director at Transcontainer, Russia’s largest rail freight container operator.

Talking about his aspirations at Transcontainer, Bulaenko said: "With a better understanding of real customers' needs we will be able to further improve on services rendered to our clients, ensuring their satisfaction at all times."
Transcontainer operates a fleet of 60,000 ISO containers and over 24,000 specialised flatcars for more than 20,000 regular customers.

At Sollers, Bulaenko was responsible for the entire supply chain for CKD, spare parts and high and heavy traffic. The company is not appointing a successor and his responsibilities will now be redistributed across the other logistics directors.

Prior to his position at Sollers, Bulaenko worked as area manager for Eastern Europe at A.P. Møller-Maersk Group and Safmarine Container Lines.

Having left the role in early 2008, Gregor Belic has been reappointed car terminal director at Luka Koper, the ports and logistics service provider at Slovenia’s Port of Koper. He replaces Andrej Andrijanic who is now pursuing opportunities outside of the company.

Luka Koper has seen a number of rapid personnel changes during 2009 following the surprise replacement in June of president Robert Cesar by Gregor Veselko, former executive director for intercontinental services at Slovenian freight forwarder Intereuropa.

Prior to Belic’s appointment the most recent change came in October when Martin Jamnik was made the new vice president in charge of sales and operations.
