Ryder is opening a maintenance and rental facility in Anchorage, Alaska. This will be the transport and supply chain management group’s first venture in the area. The new plant will provide maintenance and rental services for commercial vehicle fleets.

The facility features two and a half service bays, and is capable of supporting EPA 2010 engines, with maintenance and diesel exhaust fluid.

Ryder’s senior vice president of Sales and Marketing, John Gleason, said that he was pleased with the opportunities that working in the region would provide, and cited the growing customer base in Alaska.

“We look forward to continued growth in the state and working to ensure that our customers have access to the latest in maintenance technologies, expert technicians and a wide selection of rental vehicles,” he said.

Ryder Full Service Lease provides maintenance of commercial vehicles as well as services such as fuelling, equipment evaluations and emergency roadside assistance. The company also manages fleets, reporting tools and provides administrative support to its customers.
