Tyre distributor TireHub expects to start serving US customers in the first week of July after co-owners Bridgestone Americas and Goodyear received clearance for the joint venture.

The newly formed company will distribute tyres for passenger cars and light trucks throughout the US, with an emphasis on satisfying growing demand for larger rim diameter premium tyres.

TireHub will combine Goodyear’s wholesale distribution network with Bridgestone Tire Wholesale Warehouse (TWW) and have the scale to reach the majority of the country’s retail locations daily, according to the companies’ joint statement.

“As a new distribution company, TireHub will complement both companies’ networks of existing third-party distributors and provide a superior, fully integrated distribution, warehousing, sales and delivery solution,” Bridgestone and Goodyear said.

The transaction setting up the joint venture is expected to formally close at the end of June.
