BMW selects Penske Logistics for LLP services at Spartanburg
Penske Logistics will be providing lead logistics provider (LLP) services for BMW Manufacturing in South Carolina following the signing of a multi-year contract. It is the first time that BMW has outsourced LLP services in the US and the first time Penske has had an LLP contract with the carmaker, though it has been providing other services at Spartanburg since 2007. Penske also provides LLP services for Ford in North America and GM in Mexico.

No deal Brexit would increase cost of EVs by £2,800, says SMMT
The UK’s Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has warned that a no deal Brexit could push up the cost of buying an imported battery electric vehicle (BEV) in the UK by £2,800 ($3,600). Two thirds of all BEVs on sale in the UK are imported from Europe and between January and September this year 40.8% of all the new BEVs registered on UK roads came from the EU, more than from any other territory.
